Sibyls evening services

We hold Zoom get-togethers each month on Zoom. We welcome newcomers and those who can only attend occasionally. Our worship on Zoom has become a wonderful way for Sibyls to join together from all parts of the country. We start with a half-hour service , then have an informal chat to connect with others, to reflect on recent days, listen and support.

Each service is led by someone different, but we always share readings, music and prayer. Afterwards we talk about how we are and what we’re doing. Someone might bring a reading, image or music to share, and sometimes we might discuss a topic of mutual interest.

The monthly meetings are open to all trans people, friends, partners and supporters. You do not need to be a member of the sibyls to come, just email [email protected] to let us know you would like to attend.

Copies of the Order of Service including the sermon, talk or reflection from each service can be downloaded from the Liturgy page on this site

Central London evening meetings

We have developed a wonderful link with St Anne’s Anglican Church at 55 Dean Street, Soho, London W1D 6AF, and the rector Rev’d Simon Buckley. We meet four times a year, on different days of the week at 6pm, followed by a meal together in an inexpensive and relaxed nearby restaurant. We plan to meet on the following dates:

Tuesday 17th September 18:00

Wednesday 11th December 18:00

These evenings are open to all trans people, to their friends, spouses and supporters, in whatever presentation is most comfortable and convenient at the time. If you are thinking of coming, do feel free to email [email protected] or just turn up.

Purley Chase Centre is a retreat centre and event venue set in the beautiful North Warwickshire countryside. Purley offers a range of short courses including prayer retreats, Bible study, arts and crafts, sacred dance, and singing within a relaxed environment. Purley is owned by The General Conference of the New Church whose faith is rooted in an enlightened and balanced approach to Christ-centred spirituality, aided by insights found in the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. Purley validates all faiths and welcome people of all religions and none.

In addition to an open spiritual approach, Purley’s hospitality, delicious home-cooked food, comfortable en suite and dormitory accommodation and a warm welcome is at the heart of what Purley is about.

Darlington evening meetings

A meeting more accessible for people north and north-east is held in Darlington. Please email us if you are interested in coming along to a meeting here.

Open Table

Open Table is an ecumenical Christian worship community which offers a warm welcome to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer / questioning, intersex, asexual and all who seek an inclusive Church. We meet (online at the moment, but usually in person) in inclusive churches, where we find God and each other, and have the time and peace to grow together.

Churches don’t always feel safe or welcoming to LGBTQIA+ people. But our name, ‘Open Table’ is an open invitation to come in, just as you are, and be with us, in a safe, affirming community. https://opentable.lgbt/
